Richmond Rail

Construction begins

You cannot work in the Garden year round and there is several control and electronic projects I wish to pursue, so I need an operational test bed.

Even though I own a mountain of HO scale equipment I would not even consider lobbying to completely take over the space down stairs for trains. So like many before me I am moving to N Gauge so I can have a fully operational layout inside without using massive amounts of space. The family room has a large bar that is not in current use, so I have build my layout on top of the bar surface, L shaped 10 foot one way, and 7 foot the other, the short side is 24 inch deep, the long side I had to increase to 28 inch wide to allow for a double track curve. To this point nothing is permanently attached, I have three mountains and two yards to build before anything will be permanent. in such a small space track takes priority over mountain.
